Our inn is 1030 meters over sealevel and reachable very well. We live between Schonach, Triberg and Hinterzarten, Titisee. Our first priorities are kindness and well- being.

The Restaurant/Our kitchen
If you'd like to enjoy homemade black forest food then our restaurante is the right place. We serve selfmade cakes in our comfortable restaurant or outside in our garden.
We serve food from 11.00 a.m. till 8.00 p.m.
Celebrations
We offer you to celebrate different events in our restaurant like birthday, wedding, christmas and New Year's Eve. We help to find a menu for you and if you like you can celebrate in a seperate room.

- If you stay more than 3 days we offer breakfast and dinner for a special price
- Our day off is Tuesday but you can still stay over night. Although our kitchen is closed you can get taken and picked up to another restaurant for dinner wich is pretty close to ours.
- If offer lunch boxes and snacks to take away.
- New Year's Eve party
- We offer to transport you to the main station and to pick you up.
- You get informations from us about tracks to hike or places to visit.
- You can rent books, games and toys.
- We got a huge parking place for busses and cars.
- You can have a garage or a carport spot.
- Next to our house there are: many hiking ways (for example West- and Middleway from the black forest), bike tracks, cross country tracks and a ski-lift.

The prices per person, per night, breakfast included.
- Single room with shower and wc on the same floor up 24,00 Euro.
- Single room with shower and wc in the room up 30,00 Euro.
- Double room with shower and wc on the same floor up 23,00 Euro.
- Double room with shower and wc in the room up 26,00 Euro.
- Children ot the age 6 to 12 in the room of the parents 20,00 Euro.
- Children less than 5 years old stay for free.
- For dogs you pay 3,00 Euro per night.
- For half-board you pay 11,00 Euro.

Our inn owns two apartments. They all look different. The apartments are in our new guest house.
Apartment EG (guest house)

In Winter time...
...the black forest is a very good place to do any kind of winter sport. Right in front of our house we have our own ski-lift. The ski-lift is 500 meters long, and everybody doesn't matter if you are a good skier or a beginner will love to ski here. But if you still don't want to go skiing you can go sliding, cross country skiing or doing other wintersport activities.

The history
In 1480 we got the right to have gastronomy. Our house is on the highest point on the street B 500. A long time ago this street was named Villinger Street. It was the only connection between Freiburg and Villingen. Many people took a break while passing the restaurant. At that time the street was comparable with a high way. It was the only east west connection.
In times of peace huge wagons transported lines, clothes, animals and grains in the Reihnebene. From Freiburg they brought stuff like, weapons, jewelry but most important wine. Now the restaurant/inn that travelers got rest, food and the place to stay.
But life was not good all the time. In the war that took 30 years many german, french and sweden troops passed and rubbed our restaurant.
In 1900 the Kalte Herberge was the centre for the art of clocks. In our restaurant the artist were talking, discussing and the even built an export the clocks all throughout the country.
Today our inn is an attractive place for hikers, bike riders or just for spending time.
